Even though White Fox is relatively new to the game, she has quickly risen in popularity. Players are constantly begging for a White Fox legendary skin, and I think she deserves it! Her abilities can seem somewhat confusing at first glance, so let’s break it down and go through some quick and easy to implement tips that will improve your White Fox gameplay.
Direct Hits

Does White Fox feel super underpowered to you? If you answered yes, did you know that her healing is empowered and she inflicts more damage if your shots hit directly instead of bouncing to an ally from a surface? Her healing factor is 50 on direct hits, with bounces only healing for 35 health. While a lot of players see her as a no-aim character, similar to Cloak and Dagger, White Fox actually requires you to aim more precisely to obtain the most value from her, otherwise she might feel somewhat lackluster.
Her primary fire also bounces off allies on a direct hit and heals surrounding allies for a smaller value, meaning that White Fox can heal multiple allies at once! Next time you lock her in, you should think about all the juicy healing you’re missing out on by shooting at the floor Rocket Raccoon style.
Not a Great Defensive Ultimate

Kumiho Unleashed is hardly the most terrifying ultimate voiceline you will hear in a Marvel Rivals match. White Fox’s ultimate really does not compare to the defensive capabilities of Luna ‘putting on a show’, Invisible Woman ‘disappearing’ or Cloak and Dagger going ‘against the world’. For clarity, let’s compare a few numbers. Cloak and Dagger and Luna Snow’s ultimates both heal for 250 health per second and Invisible Woman’s ultimate clocks in at 180 per second with the additional invisibility effect.
However, White Fox only provides a flat 85 healing per second that is applied to all allies within her ring, in addition to a burst heal of 100 health when she lands an attack on an enemy or a summon. It’s important to remember that if you miss one of your attacks or there simply isn’t an enemy to hit, then you’re losing a huge chunk of healing that would have certainly been provided by another strategist ultimate.
Secret Ability?

You MIGHT be surprised to learn that White Fox also has an additional effect in her ultimate that is easily forgotten about. Blessed By The Nine grants an ally with 40 healing per second, lifesteal and the unstoppable status effect which negates any crowd control effects that might afflict the player. This buff has a cooldown of 2 seconds and should be spammed as often as possible to obtain the most value. You might be thinking, ‘White Fox appears to heal a similar amount to other strategist ultimates, so what’s the problem?’.
Let’s factor in how White Fox actually performs on the battlefield, her ultimate usually gets bursted down pretty quickly or she gets hit with crowd control which instantly rips away a lot of her healing potential. My most important piece of advice for Kumiho Unleashed is to deploy it as an aggressive tool. Your primary aim is to force out enemy ultimates and focus on play-making opportunities rather than popping her ultimate simply to counter others.
Manage Escape Cooldown

Are you sick of getting deleted straight after your Kumiho is destroyed? It’s essential that you have a rough idea of your Spirit Sanctuary cooldown so that you can teleport straight back to your teammates after your ultimate has ended. Be mindful of staying relatively close to your teammates for a swift escape! I watch so many White Fox players ult into Narnia and instantly die, be smarter and plan out your attack rather than pressing Q without a care in the world.
Back to her Spirit Sanctuary, make sure you’re using it on cooldown as long as it’s safe to do so. The shield value and healing per second is an essential tool that you need to utilise to keep your teammates alive and grab yourself some easy ultimate charge. If you find yourself low on health, ensure that you position inside your sanctuary to enjoy the extra self healing.
Damage Immunity

Would you like to be invincible? Well, that’s what White Fox does … for 0.4 seconds. While it sounds incredibly lackluster, that small duration of invulnerability can be extremely clutch in certain situations. Lots of players aren’t actually aware that this is a feature on her Spectral Surge ability. Suddenly, the amount of value that you’re providing by lining up a bunch of allies and enemies simultaneously is looking exponentially juicy.
If you time your Spectral Surge correctly, you can render your teammates immune to HUGE amounts of damage, like Namor’s ultimate. Even if you have no elaborate plans, make sure you understand the survival capabilities that Spectral Surge provides on a broader scale and don’t simply use it for damage against 1 enemy where it can be avoided.
I hope these White Fox tips helped you learned something new about her, I wish you good luck on your climb!
