Writer’s Note: All these movies and shows are based on the official USA release schedules of titles on Netflix. Kindly check the availability for your region before proceeding.

If you’re still figuring out what to watch on Netflix this week, you’ve come to the right place. The May 11–17, 2026 lineup brings a much-awaited crime thriller from the makers of Power, the return of the Money Heist universe, a big horror sequel, fan-favorite anime, reality TV drama, and the first-ever live MMA event on Netflix.

Here’s everything that’s new on Netflix this week from May 11–17, 2026.

Best New Netflix Movies This Week

There’s only one big theatrical release coming to the platform this week on May 16, 2026, which ruled the 2025 box office.

Black Phone 2 (2025) — Arrives May 16

Black Phone 2 streams on Netflix in the United States from May 16, 2026. The horror sequel continues the story of the main protagonist, Finney (Mason Thames), who is still traumatized after surviving the terrifying killer, The Grabber (Ethan Hawke). When the serial killer returns from the dead, Finney must once again fight to protect himself and his family.

Finney’s younger sister, Gwen (Madeleine McGraw), turns 15 and starts receiving calls in her dreams from the black phone. She also sees visions of three boys being hunted at a snowy camp called Alpine Lake.

Determined to solve the mystery, Gwen persuades Finney to join her on a dangerous journey to the camp during a raging storm. To uncover the truth, Gwen convinces Finney to come with her to the camp during a storm.

The sequel focuses more on nightmares and dreams, similar to A Nightmare on Elm Street, as the characters are attacked only during sleep instead of in real life. Scott Derrickson returns as director of the sequel, having also directed the original. The film will stream on Netflix from May 16, 2026, onwards and will stay on Netflix for the next 10 months.

You can also watch the best new movies streaming right now on Netflix to get the best experience, along with Black Phone 2.

Soul Mate streams on Netflix from May 14, 2026, in the United Kingdom. Another pick to stream this week on Netflix tells the story of a guilt-ridden Japanese man who flies to Berlin and befriends a Korean boxer. His bond saves him and leads to something magical in his life.

The story is not like the other popular titles on Netflix to stream this week, but it’s definitely the right choice if you are planning to watch an emotionally grounded story on the platform.

Best New Netflix Shows This Week

The new Netflix shows this week span genres from crime and anime to reality TV, along with a live MMA event. The following are the top shows available to stream this week only on Netflix in the United States.

Nemesis — Premieres May 14

This is one of the most-awaited original series by Netflix, and it has generated significant hype since the day of its announcement.

The story of Nemesis follows Lieutenant Isaiah Stiles (Matthew Law), a single-minded LAPD detective who wants to catch the group of thieves responsible for killing his partner. His main target is mastermind Coltrane Wilder (Y’lan Noel), a smart and dangerous criminal who has convinced the world that he has left the criminal life behind.

The show becomes tense as both the detective and the criminal ready themselves to risk everything to win the battle. The series marks the Netflix debut of Courtney A. Kemp, the creator behind the Power Universe.

The first two episodes of Nemesis are directed by Mario Van Peebles, and all eight hour-long episodes will drop on May 14 on Netflix.

If you enjoyed shows like Power, Ozark, or Lupin, Nemesis is set to be the next addition to your personal favorites list.

Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine — Premieres May 15

Money Heist fans, get ready — your favorite character, Berlin, returns with another master heist in mind.

In the new story, Berlin (Pedro Alonso) and Damián reunite with their crew in Seville, Spain. At first, it seems like another heist — this time targeting Leonardo da Vinci’s The Lady with an Ermine painting.

But the heist is just a distraction, as the main aim is to get revenge on the Duke of Málaga and his wife, who blackmailed Berlin.

This show will bring out the darkest and most dangerous side of Berlin that you’ve never seen before. It is created by Money Heist’s Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato, who previously worked together on Sky Rojo.

The cast stars Pedro Alonso, Julio Peña Fernández, Michelle Jenner, Tristán Ulloa, and Begoña Vargas. Inma Cuesta joins as Candela, a new mysterious member of the group.

All eight episodes of the show will be released on May 15, 2026. According to What’s on Netflix, if Berlin and the Jewels of Paris was about romance and the thrill of the heist, this one is darker and focused on revenge.

Devil May Cry Season 2 — Premieres May 12

The wait for anime fans who enjoyed Devil May Cry Season 1 is over, as Season 2 is already streaming on Netflix in the United States as of May 12.

In Season 2, a war between worlds begins as Dante must battle his estranged twin brother, Vergil.

The voice cast for Season 2 includes Johnny Yong Bosch as Dante, Robbie Daymond as Vergil, and Scout Taylor-Compton as Lady. The Capcom game’s animated adaptation is created by Adi Shankar and animated by Studio Mir.

Shankar has described Season 2 as “vvvvveryyyyy different” from its predecessor, via Netflix Junkie. You can expect intense battles, deep mythology, and the long-awaited clash between the two twin brothers teased since Season 1. The series is now streaming on Netflix in the United States.

Perfect Match Season 4 — Premieres May 13
